This is an excellent intermediate German workbook. It covers all the necessary aspects of the grammar, and it provides clear explanations. It should be used in combination with the answer key. Some might consider its approach to be old fashioned; however, I consider it essential. It is impossible for the adult learner to intuit the grammar of German as a child does -- a practice so often adopted in proficiency textbooks. Learning the grammar, in reality, provides the student with a shortcut. And this book does an excellent job of that!
They said "comprehensive" in the ad, several times. It does not have the answer key. But you can get it on line for "free" if you give them your credit card number. Do Not Buy!!Also, there are questions to things they haven't taught and unusual exceptions to various rules. You need a teacher familiar with this book to use it.

Arrived quickly but it is a workbook that has so much inside writing that it won't be usable for my son's class. I don't think this book should have been resold. Cost almost as much to ship back as I paid for it, so I will keep it as a backup copy.
