Lyn Syler has many basket weaving books, all well worth your purchase at any price. This book is another work of art and easily understood by beginner as well as advanced weaver.
Love, love, love this book. Ordered it for the "Amish Tray" pattern especially. It's great that the book has colored pages.Makes the baskets show up and thus, makes for easier weaving. Besides, Lyn Syler is very well known in North Carolinabasketweaving circles. Book was expensive but worth it.

I read the reviews of this book before purchasing it, which were, on the whole, less than impressive. Lyn Syler has written many books on basketmaking, but this is the only one I know of with directions for making a basket designed by Patti Quinn Hill. Ms. Hill makes baskets that are astoundingly beautiful, and I was so excited to be able to follow in her footsteps. I doubt I will use the rest of this book, but this one project made it worth the purchase price.Paper in Three Dimensions: Origami, Pop-ups, Sculpture, Baskets, Boxes, and More
Pictures were nice but the instructions were not as detailed as I was hoping they would be.
